Back at work - Tuesday 24th April

Well,
reality struck when we arrived at Heathrow airport at 5am and I was back at my desk at work in Sheffield by 10am. (Saving my holidays for next time) Luckily I have a sympathetic boss and she let me have an easy day just catching up on emails and recent events, and let me go home a bit earlier than usual at 4pm! The next day it was back to piling three days worth of work into one!! It took me all week to get over the jet lag. Alec, on the other hand, has the luxury of being able to choose what time he gets up and if indeed he goes into his office at all on the pretext of "working from home". ... oh that's a bit unfair, he does work most of the time and really hard and long hours at that.

So now we have the next major holiday to look forward to which is already booked.

23 days in the USA from Saturday 4th August - Monday 27th August. This time we will be taking 3 of our kids, Katie (17) and Robin (15) and my son Marc (17 by then).

We will be taking in a week in Florida, some time in Miami and the Florida Keys, then Los Angeles (including 1 night in the Beverley Hills Hilton!) A few nights at Yosemite National Park, then San Diego for a few days and lastly San Francisco.
