Day 21 Monday 23 April – The Final Frontier

And it's raining, so the Sauna has become a Steam Bath! And we're packing in the air conditioning of the room and a late check out. Last night we had purchased the second new suitcase of the trip, so we should be in reasonable shape having learned that BA allow 3 bags each of 23kg each. Sorted!

We're pretty tired and looking forward to getting home and we're not particularly inspired by Hong Kong.

After checking out at 1pm we have about 7 hours before needing to be back for the limo transfer. The weather is muggy and unpleasant, so the large indoor mall at Times Square in Causeway Bay looks attractive. Air conditioned lunch, air conditioned shopping and then a couple of hours whiling away the time in a coffee bar with an inter-web screen, works for us.

Last minute shopping breaks our return to the hotel.

At the airport BA's Hong Kong lounge has a shower which is brilliantly refreshing after a long day and before an even longer flight. When we board the plane we find BA's new style Club cabin with larger beds, cosy private capsules, video on demand and the usual attentive and smiling cabin crew sporting the inimitable stiff upper lip. Scheduled for 13 hours, Captain Marvel gets us home in double quick time and we arrive at 5am having had 7 hours sleep and we're ready to go.

I love BA.
