Day 1 - Tue 3 April - Blast Off!

(Finally found Internet access back at the airport!)

Just under 10 hours in a 777 fitted but BA are lovely as is Club World, although I am not sure about a Full English at 11pm!

Get this from landing to being in the taxi outside of the airport – 12 minutes – eat you heart out Heathrow! We were met at the jet way by the tour company and fast-tracked and met up with Lucy, our guide for the stay in Beijing, and John our driver. Having been chauffeured from the airport, fresh and raring to go, we arrived in the Oriental Bay Hotel and, er, went straight to bed!

After a few zeds, Lucy called for us and we were off exploring.
